What We Believe.

THE WORD: The Bible is the inspired word of God to man. God’s Word is perfect and authoritative as the roadmap in the life of the believer (Hebrews 4;12; 2 Timothy 3:16-17)

THE TRINITY: God is un-created, infinite, eternal, and exists in three distinct persons: The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit (John 1:1-4, 14)

JESUS: The only Son of the Father, conceived through the power of The Holy Spirit, and born of a virgin. He is the prophesied Messiah, fully God and fully human. Jesus lived a sinless life. He was crucified, buried, and rose from the grave to reconcile all people to God and to free us from the power of sin and carnality. He currently sits at the right hand of the Father in heaven as the Intercessor. He will return again as King to rule and reign over His Kingdom.(Luke 1:26-38; John 19:16-42; John 20:1-10).

HOLY SPIRIT: Every believer receives Holy Spirit at the time of salvation; through the process of seeking and sanctification, the believer may also receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit which empowers them to be witnesses of His Kingdom, His power, and His resurrection throughout the earth. (Acts 1:8; Acts 2:1-6; John 16:7-15; Ephesians 6:18).

SIN: Sin was introduced to mankind through the fall of Adam, the first created man. Since that time, all creation has been born into the curse of sin and all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. The penalty for sin is death and eternal separation from God, but Jesus paid the penalty of sin to reconcile mankind to God. Repentance is commanded by God for all and necessary for the forgiveness of sins, and everyone who repents and trusts in Jesus for forgiveness is forgiven and free from the curse of sin and death (Genesis 3, Romans 5:12-15; Ephesians 2:1-5).

SALVATION: Jesus’ death on the cross provided a means for salvation and reconciliation with God The Father. Salvation provides the believer with freedom over the power of sin in mind, body, and Spirit and gives way for the believer to have a personal and deep relationship with God.

ORDINANCES: in the New Testament gospel Jesus gives instructions to the early church that we believe are also ordinances to the church today: water baptism, communion, and foot washing (Mathew 28:19-20, Luke 22: 14-20, and  John 13:2-17).

THE BODY OF CHRIST AS FAMILY: Romans 12:4-5 describes the body of Christ as a singular organism, connected by individual parts, with each part being as necessary and important as the other. Jesus Himself spent His earthly ministry with a group of disciples that were His closest friends and family. Following the pattern set by Christ, the church is to live in unity and love for one another. We will be known as His disciples by the love that we have for one another (John 13:35).

SECOND COMING OF JESUS: In John 14:3, Jesus is clear that He has come once, and He will come again to unite with His bride. At the first coming of Jesus, He came as high priest who made a way for the atonement of sin in all generations (Hebrews 4:14-16). He will return as High King to rule, and judge the earth (Revelation 19:11-16). All believers should remain alert, vigilant, and eager to see His return (2 Timothy 4:8).

WE BELIEVE

In the verbal inspiration of the Bible

In one God eternally existing in three persons; namely, the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

That Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father, conceived of the Holy Ghost, and born of the Virgin Mary. That Jesus was crucified, buried, and raised from the dead. That He ascended to heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father as the Intercessor.

That all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and that repentance is commanded of God for all and necessary for forgiveness of sins.

That justification, regeneration, and the new birth are wrought by faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.

In sanctification subsequent to the new birth, through faith in the blood of Christ; through the Word, and by the Holy Ghost.

Holiness to be God’s standard of living for His people.

In the baptism with the Holy Ghost subsequent to a clean heart.

In speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance and that it is the initial evidence of the baptism in the Holy Ghost.

In water baptism by immersion, and all who repent should be baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.

Divine healing is provided for all in the atonement.

In the Lord’s Supper and washing of the saints’ feet.

In the premillennial second coming of Jesus. First, to resurrect the righteous dead and to catch away the living saints to Him in the air. Second, to reign on the earth a thousand years.

In the bodily resurrection; eternal life for the righteous, and eternal punishment for the wicked.
